Catherine Kise

My goal is to revolutionize the lighting industry by hiring and training a knowledgeable staff that can design and deliver innovative, budget-friendly lighting solutions to our clients.

An engineer by trade, I work to understand the project as a whole and I encourage my staff to do the same. In our office, I stress that my employees to think as engineers and as designers, to think in layers, and to ask lots of questions. I strongly believe that by understanding a project’s construction and our client’s vision, we can offer more valuable solutions.

I encourage my team to push industry norms and to go above and beyond what is expected. We value education and knowledge of products, electrical codes and regulations, pricing and lead times. Knowledge of products and control systems is key to a project’s success and a functioning lighting system.

My passion is creating and delivering valued lighting and controls solutions to our clients.

As Vice President of Project Development, I use the experience and knowledge gained over the years to ensure that LITE RITE provides the best solutions to our clients and develops strong bonds with key industry partners.  Through the use of innovative products and the latest technology in lighting and lighting control, I provide support to our estimating, design and project management teams to ensure that every project is tailored with the best solution.

Providing the best lighting and lighting control solutions often involves attending job walks, meeting manufacturers and their representatives, providing on-site consultations, educating LITE RITE team members, customers and specification partners, and researching local code requirements (Title 24/CEC, NEC).

Our partners have many choices in the industry, and my goal is to develop LITE RITE into the best solution for all lighting practitioners, and electrical and construction professionals on a local, national and even global scale.

I have spent just shy of 20 years designing lighting, lighting control systems and power distribution systems in the entertainment industry before settling down to start a family in the San Fernando valley. During that I was honored with recognition as an ETCP Certified Entertainment Electrician, the highest level of technical certification available in entertainment lighting.

Since leaving the film and television industry in 2014, I have worked in the field as a low voltage installation technician for Aid Alert Security on commercial and military security systems; in a cubicle as an Applications Engineer with Acuity Brands Controls. As a Project Developer with LITE RITE, I am able to find a balance between the two and deliver whole building lighting solutions for our clients.

I enjoy the opportunity to interface with both our clients and vendors on a daily basis. I look forward to growing in this organization and within the lighting industry.

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by how electricity and lighting functioned. From an early age I studied schematics as well as electrical components and how they operated. Throughout the years I have taken a great deal of pride in acquiring additional knowledge within the electrical industry. Over the course of more than a decade, I have been able to cultivate a positive working relationship with customers and therefore am able to cater to their exact needs and priorities.
